2. Privé's approach to cookies

Privé currently operates privemag.com through Ghost and does not use third-party advertising trackers or external analytics platforms such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel.

Ghost states that it does not set non-essential cookies by default.

Ghost's native web analytics are also designed to operate without cookies or other persistent browser storage for identifying anonymous visitors across sessions.

For this reason, Privé's current website setup does not rely on non-essential analytics or advertising cookies.

3. Essential technology

Certain technical processes may nevertheless be required to:

  • operate the website
  • maintain security
  • manage newsletter subscriptions
  • authenticate members
  • process contact requests
  • prevent misuse
  • remember essential technical states

Where cookies or similar technologies are strictly necessary for functionality requested by a user or for website security, they may be used without being employed for advertising or cross-site tracking.

4. Ghost analytics

Privé uses Ghost's native first-party analytics.

According to Ghost, these web analytics do not use cookies or persistent browser storage to track anonymous visitors across sessions, devices or browsers.

Unique visitors are measured within limited time windows rather than through persistent cross-site tracking.

For signed-in members, Ghost may associate a member identifier with content viewed on Privé in order to provide audience and content-engagement analytics.

5. Newsletter measurement

Privé uses the newsletter functionality provided through Ghost.

Ghost may measure newsletter opens and clicks in order to provide newsletter performance and engagement statistics.

These measurements relate to email engagement rather than third-party behavioural advertising.

6. Third-party cookies

Privé does not currently use third-party advertising or behavioural tracking cookies as part of its standard website setup.

If Privé introduces services in the future that use non-essential third-party cookies or comparable tracking technologies, this Cookie Policy will be updated.

Where required by applicable law, appropriate consent controls will also be introduced before such technologies are activated.

This may apply, for example, if Privé later introduces:

  • third-party advertising technology
  • behavioural advertising
  • Google Analytics or similar external analytics
  • social media tracking pixels
  • affiliate tracking technology
  • embedded third-party services that place non-essential cookies

A normal link from Privé to another website does not mean that the external website's cookies are placed on privemag.com.

However, once you leave Privé and visit another website, that site's own cookie and privacy practices apply.

Most modern browsers allow users to view, delete and block cookies.

You may adjust these settings through your browser.

Blocking essential browser storage or cookies may affect functionality on websites that depend on them.
